When we set out to build a new kind of media in the UK – independent and unafraid to speak truth to power – we knew we needed the best of British journalism.
That meant bringing together the award-winning Sangita Myska, who made headlines leaving LBC after a fiery interview with an Israeli spokesperson; one of the British left’s best-known names, Owen Jones, co-host of Zeteo’s ‘Two Outspoken’ podcast; Grace Blakeley, one of the UK’s sharpest economic thinkers; Afua Hirsch, the acclaimed broadcaster and author on race and identity; and veteran journalist Peter Oborne, an unflinching conservative critic of the British political and media establishments. Leading our daily Westminster and UK politics coverage is the respected former ITV News reporter Shehab Khan, as political editor. And, of course, our very own Mehdi Hasan will be pitching in, too.
